Lulja Sharqatli - German Language Instructor
My passion for languages and foreign cultures developed back in my early childhood. Being raised bilingually and biculturally, I learned to embrace and appreciate the values of both the German and Arab mentality. While pursuing my B.A. in Multilingual Communication in Cologne (Germany), I was also volunteering as a self-taught graphic designer for a muslim academics network and working part-time at an international charity organization. In 2014, I was awarded an ERASMUS scholarship in order to complete my 5th semester at the University of Granada (Spain). For me, a lover of Andalusian culture and history, this was a truly emotional and enriching experience. In fact, I could not help but return to my old faculty in Granada a year later to obtain my M.A. in Professional Translation. Ever since my move to Kuwait in 2016, I have been teaching German, English, Arabic and Spanish to students of all backgrounds and ages. I am very grateful to have joined the inlingua family as a German instructor in 2017. Other than being all multicultural, I enjoy reading, traveling, sports, design and a good cheesecake!

The teaching environment is also very pleasant. The teaching methods are based on oral practice, which helps students when travelling to Hispanic countries for business or leisure to help them communicate with the 500 million Spanish speakers in the world today.

Laura Lorenzo - Spanish Language Instructor
I grew up in a farm in a tiny village in the region of Castilla y Leon, North Spain...one of those magical places where you can easily forget time and enjoy the tranquility and peace of your surroundings. Although my dream was always to teach languages, I opted for a Business Studies degree in the University of Valladolid. During my last year at university, I was very lucky to be granted an Erasmus grant to live and study in the UK, an experience I loved! So much so that I never moved back home. After working for a British bank for a couple of years I finally decided to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher and completed a PGCE (Spanish and French) in the University of Leeds. Before coming to Kuwait I worked in both Primary and Secondary schools across the UK. I love my profession as I get the opportunity to interact with an immense variety of cultures, backgrounds and personalities. I also find very rewarding seeing the progress my students make in their language skills.
